William Shakespeare wrote many books and plays throughout his life. Perhaps one of his most famous works is Macbeth. Macbeth is a short play written in iambic pentameter.
Macbeth starts out as a respectable man who is returning from war a hero. On his way home, he meets three witches who tell him that in the future, he will be king. Once he tells his wife, she persuades him to kill the current king (Duncan) and blame it on is guards. However after the deed is done, Macbeth keeps killing people because he has become extremely paranoid. This play is a good read, if you can understand Elizabethan English. There are many uses of symbolism and paradoxes in this play. The witches, for example, are evidence of the strange and supernatural things that happen.
In conclusion, I would recommend Macbeth, but try to find a more modern version so it will be easier to understand.

In class, we read “Macbeth” by William Shakespeare. It is a tragic story about a tragic hero, who gets wrapped up in murder to become king. I like this play, it is very bloody and cruel, but has a good storyline. This book shows how one good man can turn so cold-blooded and heartless in a matter of days.
A pretty interesting part of this play is how the witches speak in paradoxes to mess with Macbeth. The apparitions that come out of the cauldron, they tell Macbeth three things, also in paradox. The first apparition told Macbeth to beware Macduff; the second tells him that no one of woman born can hurt him and; the third one told him that he would never die until the forest moved to his palace. Macbeth takes this, and thinks that he will never die. But, what he doesn’t know is that the army heading for him cut off branches and is charging to his castle. So, it looks like the woods are “moving”. Also, when Macbeth and Macduff start to fight, Macbeth learns that Macduff was born by a c-section. I liked how the witches played with him and messed with a perfectly good life, to show that people aren’t always as they seem.
The play Macbeth by William Shakespeare was one of the bloodiest and cruelest plays Shakespeare has written. It is a play of a tragic hero whose greatest flaw is ambition. It comes back to lead to his downfall. In my opinion, it was a very good and well write play.

We recently read the play “Macbeth” by William Shakespeare. Overall, I liked it. There was only one thing I didn’t like about it.
The only thing I didn’t like about “Macbeth” was the Elizabethan Language. It’s very hard to read and understand. My favorite part was the end of the play when everything the aberrations showed fell in place and actually happened. With the help of Mrs. McIntyre, I was able to somewhat understand the language of “Macbeth” so it turned out to be an interesting read.
All in all, William Shakespeare did an excellent job at writing the play, “Macbeth”. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind taking their time to understand its Elizabethan Language.
