Recently I read an article posted on msnbc.com about Facebook users in college and their GPA scores. The premise of the article is that people can't multi-task as well as we say they can. If you've read the article, what do you think about it?

I have recently read the article Facebook use can lower grades by 20 percent by Suzanne Choney. College students are believing that they can multi-task, when they can't. I feel that college students averages are dropping because they are spending too much time on facebook, not only because they're on it. If the students just get on facebook for a short period of time, about 20 minutes, they would still have time to study and it won't effect their grades as much. Studies show that the facebook users have a grade point average of 3.06, while the non users have an average if 3.82. They should still have time to study and be on facebook, but only if they're on for a small amount of time to manage to keep their averags up.

"Car Bomb Explodes in Russian Market"

A car loaded with explosives detonates in a market in Russia's North Caucasus region on thursday. At least 16 people were killed and as many as 100 were wounded. The blast occured in a mostlyOrthodox Christain area in North Ossetia. Compared to majority Muslim republics in the rregion like Chechnya or Dagestan. The bomber set off an explosive device packed with bolts, ball bearings, and other shrapnel while sitting in a parked car at the market entrance. Russian police disarmed a second explosive device found near the market entrance. Russia's National Anti-terrorist commitee warned other bombs could go off in the area. Russia President Dimitri A. Medvevedev vowed to "catch the monsters involved with the barbarian attack". There was on immediate claim of responsibility for the attack. The car involved had a lisense plate from Ingushetia, a violent region whch had a tense relationship between the border regions.

I recently read the article "9/11 Reconstruction". It affects most everyone in the U.S. as they are rebuilding Ground Zero with new plazas and towers.
Giant water pumps are ready to send thousands of gallons of water, creating the biggest man-made water system next to the Niagra Falls. The buildings are still under construction and may be for awhile. To honor the 9/11 victims they are recording all of their names in bronze in the building hallways.
Although this is a very contraversal move, I believe it is the right one. To move on, but not to forget. Many see otherwise and would like to leave Ground Zero the way it was. We will see how all this plays out in the near future.

I recently read the article about facebook by Suzanne Choney. The article states that studies have proven that Facebook can make grades drop by 20 percent.Studies show that multi tasking may take you longer to accomplish tasks. It is showing that GPA's are lower when Facebook and email are up on the computer. It is good to have this information available to people.

I just read “The Content’s of a Dead Mans Pockets”, by Jeff Finney. It was a good story I think Tom’s dumb for going out on a ledge for a piece of paper. I think he should have just left the paper. Also after he gets the paper, he puts it back in the same spot and opens the door again. This was not very smart and I think the irony is funny.
