I am overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and effort you, all of you, as 9th grade honors students put into this project! I am impressed by your ability to share what you've learned with your peers. I hope you have learned a lot about not only the Great Depression, but about the process of research as well. Any advice for next year? Great job class!!

To me the hardest part of the whole thing was getting all of your information together and blending your sources.

The easiest part was typing the paper b/c all you had to do was follow your rough draft.

I am now more educated of what happened and what took place during the Great Depression b/c of the research I did.

Austin,
Yes, blending your sources is a really difficult task. It takes a lot of work to get enough information from many different sources. Sometimes, you may even find two different sources that contradict each other. That is when research gets really fun! Thanks for your comment and I'm glad you learned so much about the Great Depression. Mrs. McI

When we began writing our research papers, we had to take notes. Mrs. McIntyre showed us an organized way to take notes. It made writing our paper a lot less difficult because we already had our sources and knew where we wanted our information to go. After we wrote our papers, my group began our gallery walk project. We did a tri-fold with pictures from the Dust Bowl. During our presentation, we had to explain our pictures. It was much easier than I thought it would be, because I already knew a lot of the information from my paper. I learned that the best way to present is to stand tall and make eye contact. It keeps your listeners interested. When someone asked a question about our project, we had to know our information so that we could give them an answer.

My report was focused on the Fashion of the 1930's. Our reports traveled down a long process. The two major parts of the report were a rough draft and the final paper. The rough draft was made of your own knowledge (kind of hard to do when you don't know your topic) and credible sources. Finally, typing the final paper was easy because of the rough draft the words were already down you just needed to type. Thanks for this way of writing Mrs. McIntyre! Lastly, the Gallery Walk allowed me to expmand on what I had learned, if I learned! When making the poster, along with gathering clothes for the project I was able to go more in depth with what I learned of the report. Also, the presentation of the project helped in expanding my knowledge of the topic. I am glad we were able to present the topics as opposed to sitting in a hard, cold desk listening to Mrs. McIntyre lecture on information. I was pleased with everyones Gallery Walk projects they were all nice and looked as if everyone gave 110% on their projects!

My project was Fashion of The 1930's. The hardest part of the research paper was kepping three or less notecards in a row. The esiest part of the paper was typing the paper. It was already written on the rough draft becouse Mrs. McIntyre showed us the correct way to write them.

My favorite project was everyones. Every one had spent lots of time on it and they all looked very nice when they were presented. They all knew the information very well also.

I did my project on "The Brown Bomber" Joe Louis. The hardest part was citing inside of the paper. In the gallery walk the hardest part was making sure you had your information correct that you were telling.

my favorite group was kelvin, kalib, and jarrett because they keep it simple.

This past month or so my class has had to write a research paper. I learned many different things, but the thing that i felt was hardest was taking the notes. Everything else was fairly easy. I also learned a new way to put my notes in my rough draft. The easiest part was actually typing the paper. Although this process was very time-consuming, i feel that all of my hard work really payed off.

The topic of my project was "Fashion in the 1930's". I thought this would have been an interesting topic to do, and it was. The first thing I did in starting my research paper was finding all the information I could on my topic. Then I started my rough draft. The rough draft was the hardest thing out of the whole project. We had to find all the information we could then make note cards, cut, and paste them to our papers, this was harder than it seemed. When it was time to type our final paper all I had to do was copy my rough draft. This was the easiest. I'm so glad Mrs. McIntyre introduced me to a new way of writing a rough draft. This helped me a lot!
The Gallery Walk was the funnest to do. To actually see all the clothes from the 1930's made me more interested in the work I had done. Not only did I learn a lot of information from my Gallery Walk but from the other projects too. Everyone did a great job with the Gallery Walk.
I'm glad Mrs. McIntyre lets us do projects like these because this helped me a lot in remembering my facts about the 1930's fashion. If she would have stood up in class and tried to teach me, I most likely would not remember any of it. I wish more teachers would do what Mrs. McItyre did for me.

Learning through the research paper was good, because you looked up your own information. You had to make up your own rough draft and notecards for it. The part about writing the rough draft and organizing the notecards in it wasn't that easy, but after you get what you're doing then you realize it's not that hard.

For the groups I saw, I would say that you did a great job and that all the projects were great, it's just that one project got my attention the most. I liked the fact that the groups had things to represent their topic, such as clothing of the 1930's.

I had fun doing my research paper. I think the main reason was because i learned how to use databases, and how to use the mla format for my resaerch paper. I also learned alot about the time period and what was goin on w/ the money market. With all of that in consideration i really liked doin the resaerch paper.

I learned tons of facts about the Great Depression. I did my report on Eleanor Roosevelt. She was interesting to research because she did so much during this time. However i also learned about how research papers are typed and an easier way to set up a rough draft. Im glad i got the chance to do the project because it helped me retain more information.

Doing this project was both fun and easy. We go to use search data bases to find out information. This information was then used to do our research paper and our Gallery Walk project. During this process I learned that instead of writing a rough draft you can just cut and paste your notes on a blank sheet of paper. When typing our paper we had to use a work cited page which showed where we got our information from. I enjoyed the Gallery Walk because it was fun to hear about what other kids have learned about their own topics and to share what I had learned about Amelia Eahart. I think Chelsie Small and Alexis Golden done a great job on their project because they knew their information and worked as a team to present it.

The research paper and gallery walk was a great experience. The process for the research paper was harder than the gallery walk because you would get half way done and then something would sound in common with what you wrote before. That would happen to me more then anything. So i would say writing the paper was difficult for me. I learned that the new deal didn't help as much as President Roosevelt wanted it too. I really enjoyed the gallery walk because it gave me a chance to work on my public speaking skills. The best presentation to me was Brittany Wallace's because she knew what she was talking about without help with the paper or what was on the board.

I think that the process of the research paper was hard because it had to be done in a certain way. I think that the process of the gallery walk was kinda easy because you basically knew all of your information and you were recreating it into a presentation. I enjoyed participating in the gallery walk and touring the other class's presentations. The presentation that I liked the most was Porsha's and Emily's because they knew their information on their topic and they presented it very well.

This project was a great experience for me. The process of doing the KWL chart and the reflection chart was easy. The reason being is because I already looked up the information and i knew some things already. I also learned from other people. I learned a variety of new things about the Great Depression. Some of these things included; a works cited page, arranging my note cards so that they made up my reserch paper, and searching the databases. I really enjoyed the Gallery walk! It was a chance for me to learn as well as teach others about some of the events that happened during this terrible time. I really liked Eboneys group. They did an exellant job on explaining the information about FDR. Overall this was a great project and I hope to do somthing like it in the future.

The research paper was hard for me to start off with because I saved all my files on my disk and I didn't do my citation page until the end but it all came together.

I did learn a good about about the parenthetical documentation because if you don't have them you're stealing credit from someone else and that is plagiarism.

I enjoyed the gallery walk because I had a chance to see what everyone's topic was and how good they did because to make a good poster you don't just throw something together and you could tell, they didn't.

In my opinion Emily Hil and Porsha Cherry's project was the best because I never saw them look at the poster they knew what they were talking about and were glad to answer questions if you had any.

Because of doing the project I have now learned more about the Great Depression. I have learned more about what caused the Depression and what made it so interesting. I thought that Emily and Porsche did a great job on the Black Tuesday. Emily really inpressed me cause of how she didn't have to look back at the paper to get her information. She memorized her information really well cause she never looked back at the paper to describe the picture that she had up there. She also had a whole lot of information up there cause when I was at her station I stayed there for more than twenty minutes. I also liked doing this kind of project and I want to do another project just like this one again.

The topic for my research paper and gallery walk was Eleanor Roosevelt. I enjoyed doing this project. The hardest part for me was getting enough facts, because some of my resources stated the same things or they weren't that specific or willing in giving information. The easeist part for me was making my gallery walk presentation. It was also the part that I liked the most. My partner and I had fun making the presentation. It was kinda scary presenting the project at first but my partner and I got the hang of it and pulled it off. The presentation I liked best was Black Tuesday by Porsha Cherry and Emily Hill. It was very neat and decorative. They did a very good job presenting their topic.

My learning experience from the research paper and gallery walk was pretty good. The research paper was hard because you had to find all your sources and then blend everything together, but the gallery walk was easier but only if you knew your topic well. I learned some things that I had heard before but didnt understand all that great such as: parenthetical documentation and searching databases. The gallery walk was a fun way to learn about other peoples projects. The presentation I enjoyed the most was The Dust Bowl by Kelcey McGee and Kristen Foy. The reason I enjoyed their project the most was because it was colorful and kept my attention.

My learning experience with the research paper and gallery project was a great way of learning for me!! The process was fairly easy because I completed a research paper last year in my English class. I really enjoyed doing the gallery walk because it gave me the opportunity to speak publicly and to let others know that I was intelligent... just in case they didn't know that by now!!! I enjoyed Monterese Hayton's project because she made it interesting and you could tell she knew her topic!! Good Job Monterese!!

The research paper helped right much in many ways. I learned how to take notes a little better, how to cite my resaerch a little better pretty amuch a little bit of everything a little better. The research paper was kinda hard to me though mainly because I couldn't really find anything on what I had. The gallery walk was a pretty easy considering me and josh had all the research we needed for it from the paper. Just put some of it together on some posterboard and that's it. The gallery walk was pretty fun to me. My favorite group project in the gallery walk was Katie Joyner's and Katlyn Howard's Black Tuesday. It was decorated just right not too much and not too little and they had ALOT of information. They even knew how many people committed suicide which I learned 11 people did on Black Thursday though not Black Tuesday.

From the research paper I learned how to cite my paper correctly, how to write and interesting paper, and what it should include. It was hard for me, because I hadn't had a researcn paper before. The gallery walk helped me memorize some important points, because I had to say it a lot of times. The presentation I liked the most was Victoria Kings and Amanda Hughes. They put a lot of effort into it and it showed!

The process of writing the reasearch paper was pretty difficult for me. I'm not really that good at writing, and there was a lot that had to be done. One new thing that i learned is that searching databases for information is sometimes a whole lot harder than it sounds. I didn't really enjoy the gallery walk simply because it made me a nervous wreck to have to present to all the different people. The presentation I liked the most was the Joe Louis presentation by Carl, Jesse, Austin, and Ben. I liked it simply because it was the only one I saw that was about sports.

My topic was the overall life in the 1930's. The hardest part to me was actually just getting all of the information I needed because there were so many pages that contained to same information. It was hard to find a decent amount of information that would show just what happened and how that affected the lives of the people living in that particular time period.

To put it simply, I learned how to write a paper. This was the first paper I'd actually written, so this is all new to me.

My favorite presentation on the Gallery Walk would probably have to be the presentation on FDR that Matthew and Andrew did because it was a simple powerpoint that contained a lot of interesting details about FDR's life.

The research paper and gallery walk was fairly easy to me. I learned lots of new things. Not only did I learn about my topic, Black Tuesday, I also learned how to cite my resources, take good notes, and create a well-written paper.

I though the gallery walk was fun. I got to get out of class and present what I learned to everyone.

I though that Monterese's group's project was awesome. They made an actual model of Eleanor Roosevelt. It was really good.

The Gallery walk was a huge part of me learning the material, because I'm extremely comfortable with public speaking, and I learn best through teaching others. The process was easy to me because I enjoy hands-on activities and presentations. Last year we learned about parenthetical documentation, but this paper helped to jog my memory. I enjoyed Jermica Mumford's presentation the best because it was a colorful and innovative way to combine technology and information on Amelia Earhart.

-Ashley Pollock

A year perviously I had experience with writing a 'professional' paper so doing this time wasn't nearly as hard as it would have been. Just finding information needed to write the paper was the most difficult. Presenting my presentation was kind of fun, I got to show what I knew about my topic. It made me feel smart. After I got over being nervous it was more enjoyable.

Did I learn something new?! Of course I did! How couldn't you? When you do a project like this and you've never really read, watched, or even heard about it by chance well it's inevatable that you do learn something new. So yeah, I did.

I learned when the Hoover Dam was built who they named it after and all the stastics about the dam, its self. The presentation-not saying it was enjoyable just informatiave, but the one about Jim Crow Law's was interesting. I didn't know they were acturally laws, let alone that they had a name too. Also why they chose Jim Craw fro the name of the law.

Mrs. McI said...

The process of the paper and the gallery walk was difficult at parts. The research was difficult, but typing up the project and drawing the pictures to put on the poster board were pretty easy. I learned about parenthetical documentation and public speaking for my project. At first the parenthetical documentation seemed a little strange, but around the third paragraph, I was used to it.

The Gallery Walk was surprisingly very fun. I was a bit nervous and jumpy, but I started to calm down. Of course, it wasn't easy answering five questions at once, I responded quite well to it. Miranda Tyndall really knew what she was talking about. SHe had amazing pictures and explanations.

I think having to present the information caused me to want to soundly know my materials. I think that the other classes coming in made me work really hard on my visuals rather than my paper. If we had had to present our paper, I would have done more research and worked harder on that.

My favorite group was Julie Tyndal and Savannah Waller because of the artwork, creativity, and real, tangible visuals. I think that by having the real Nazi armband, it made what happened real. No matter how you heard about the Nazis, it seems like a story to tell around a campfire because it is so surreal. By having real, touchable evidence before my eyes, it added to my realization that those things we are scared of really happened.

My project was on the Dust Bowl. It was a fun project to do and I enjoyed it. The research and organizing the information was the difficult part of the research paper. The easiest part was finding a topic for my project. It just came to me, and it was something I didn't know much about. During this process, I learned a lot about all the steps you must take to have a good paper.
The gallery walk was the best part. We made something appealing to our audience. There were some difficuties to the project as well. The presentation was the hardest task. The easiest part was finding something to make. Making this project public, did affect me some. I wanted to make the project and the presentation very well made. The one thing that will stand out in my mind about the Dust Bowl, are the hardships faced by all these people.
I also liked the presentation by the other Dust Bowl project. The group had Courtney, Erica, Taylor, and Jodi in it. It was a great poster and a great presentation. There were some very detailed pictures on it.

My learning experience during the Gallery Walk was alright. I learned a lot about Amelia Earhart. Whenever I first started i barely knew anything about her anything about Amelia Earhart but now since it is over with I know a lot more. The Gallery Walk process was easy. All we had to do was stand up, have good manners, and share information about our topic. But when it came to the research paper it was a little difficult because I would forget to put my parenthetical documentation in my paper. The best presentation was a tie for me. I liked two of them, and it was between Ebony and Zachary's group and Brittany Wallace. The reason i chose Ebony and Zachary's is because they really got into it. But for Brittany's presentation I liked it because she chose the main facts of Eleanor Roosevelt.

The hardest part of the research paper was finding all of the facts that were necessary for the presentation. Even though there were not many sources on the databases i found enough information to make a good research paper. The gallery walk was a great experience for me. I learned a great amount of new details about the Great Depression as i walked around to view everyone's subject. I really liked Ashley Pollock's project on Eleanor Roosevelt. She really knew all of her information very well and she did a great job decorating it as well.

The process of writing the research paper and making the poster for the gallery walk was easy because all it was was taking notes from sources and then writing them in your own paper. While doing this, I learned how to do parenthetical documentation. I enjoyed the gallery walk because it was a time that you didn't really have to think hard to do. I liked the presentations that had the hairdryers simulating the Dust Bowl because the hair dryers would start burning when stuff was being sucked into them.

I believe that the gallery walk and the research paper helped me learn alot. I learned much more about the 1930's doing it this way instead of hearing a lecture about. Of coarse there were some difficult parts. The act of finding the notes and citing them were pretty hard. Although copying and pasting the notes to get the rough was sorta easy. I'm i know how to write a research paper now for future refrence and overall it was fun. I was amazed at some of the gallery walk projects, but I believe Savannah and Julie's project was the best. Things were 3-D and you could tell they knew there stuff.

The process of writing the paper wasn't too hard except that parenthetical documentation is very annoying after a while. The gallery walk wasn'ttoo hard either.

I learned about parenthetical documentation, blending sources, and cut/paste notes.

The gallery walk was pretty good except I did think that we would get more intelligent questions.

Mrs. McI said...

The Gallery walk wasn't much of a challenge to me because I am used to presenting infront of people. Presenting comes naturally for me and after breaking the ice with a few of our, Savannah and I, vewers we warmed up and it wasn't that big of a deal. The main problem was Getting Savannah not to worry so much! She said she had "bad people skills," personally she did great!
The research paper on the other hand, was GREAT difficulty for me. I've never been a great writer and just finding things to put into my paper was hard enough but then I had to put my two sense in. But all in all I think I did okay on it. Thanks Mrs.McIntyre for helping me with my paper.
I learned from this project so much useful information that I can't really list it all or I would be typing it all day so I am only going to list a few details: Jazz was a therapy in the 1930's along with other styles of music, the fashion was way different from every other style of clothing in history, even though the people wet clothes to protect themselves from the dust it still got through and proved fatal, and Amelia inspired so many women to follow their dreams and not let anything hold them back from capturing them.
My favorite project would have to be Briana Smith's on FDR. It was filled with information and vivid images of his life and family. Kudo's Briana! Your project was inviting but next time use more colors and make things less spread out it was too spacious.

My project and subject were very interesting to learn about. The process of creating my paper was extremely time-consuming, and was a tad bit hard. But now that I think back on my project, it was a fairly easy project. The things that were time-consuming really ended up helpin me out in the long run. Especially cutting/pasting my notes on my rough draft. I learned how much this really helped me. It was so easy to type my paper after I was finished with my rough draft. All I had to do was follow it as i typed.
The Gallery Walk was a very exciting thing to do. WE got to work in groups, which was a little challenging but fun at the same time. It was kind of scary when people started asking our group questions, but our group knew its information so we didn't look stupid. All the groups did a wonderful job, but my favorite presentation was Julie's and Savannah's. It was so amazing with all the desiderata and they made it very appealing to the eye.

The research paper was hard because I hadn't really done a paper since the 8th grade and was never good at them. The easy part was presenting because we knew all of our stuff and were very confident. The project was hard because some of the things I had to do I never done before. I learned alot that was new the MLA format and belending sources was new to me because i never done ie before. I did enjoy the Gallery Walk . I learned alot about what happen during the Great Depression that I will remember for a long time. I liked Ebony,Zack, and Chris presentation the best because they knew alot about Franklin Roosevelt they really didn;t need to have a poster cause they had everthing in there head. Great job guys.

I did my project on Eleanor Roosevelt. The research paper was harder than the poster. Blending the sources was hard because it was hard to get a lot of different facts blended. I learned a lot about doing citations-that will help me ALOT in college. =)I also learned a lot about her life, she did alot of things for the world back then. The gallery walk was fun to me because I like teaching people new things. It was fun finding pictures and timelines about her. I liked Chelsie,Alexis, and Tyquilla's poster they were very creative and it looked like they spent a lot of time doing it. I hope we get to do other fun stuff in the future.

The process was hard to me because I am not that good in writing papers. Writing the paper was hard because you had to blend the sources. The gallery walk was fun and I enjoyed it.I liked the gallery walk because you were able to see other students projects. The project I liked the best was Chelsie, Alexis, and Tyquilla's project. It was very interesting and appealing. the group supplied a lot of information about their topic.

I researched Black Tuesday, I thought it was very hard finding all the information. I found a lot of sources but most of them said the same thing. So it was difficult trying to find important information and blend all of the sources together. Writing the final paper was really easy though, because all I had to do was re-write my rough draft without all the errors.

I enjoyed the Gallery Walk, I thought it was pretty fun. All you had to really do is take the information from your research paper and put it into a presentation. I really learned a lot from other peoples presentations. I liked Elizabeth Tyndall and Heather Walton's project the best. They had everything organized and they knew what they were talking about.

My project was on the New Deal. During the process of writing my paper I found that putting two notes on one notecard did not work when we had to glue the notes on to the rough draft. I think the easiest part of my project was typing my paper because all I had to do was type, the hardest part was when I had to take notes over and over again. The project I liked the best was Casey's project, but I also really liked Jamie's very well. I am glad we had a chance to learn so much about the great depression, this project was a very wonderful expirence for me.

I did my project on Franklin D Roosevelt. I choose him because of what he did to help the United States out of the Great Depression. The hardest part of the project was typing it because of the way it had to be typed. The easiest part was finding the information because all I had to do is look on the databases.

On a scale from 1-5 (5 being the hardest)I rate the research paper assignment a 5 because I really dislike writting essays. It's very hard to gather all the information from sources then rewrite it and make it my own. The easiest part was typing it because alll i had to do was type what was on my rough draft. The most difficult part was taking notes because all of the passages sounded well but i can't copy it all. That would be Plagiarism. During the research paper process i learned a lot about the Davis-Bacon Act. As for the gallery walk I wasn't here to participate in the event, but i bet it was awesome!

On a scale from 1-5(5 being the most difficult) I rate the research paper assignment a 3, being that it was only my second time writting a research paper. The most difficult part of the research paper was trying to come up with a paragraph after the notecard. This part was difficult because, it really told you everything you needed to know in the notecard. However, the easiest part of the research paper was typing it. I think it is the easiest because, all i had to do was look at my roughdraft. During this research paper process/method, I learned a lot about The Davis Bacon Act.
The one thing that will stand out in my mind about my topic is how African- Americans were treated; I can see myself in their place.
About the Gallery Walk I did not participate in it. But I did get to visit it and it was AWESOME.

I learned about things I never even knew about. I learned how to do a works cited page better than I did in eighth grade. I also learned to do a parenthetical documentation. The Gallery Walk was good. I loved hoe everyone in groups worked together to share what they learned abot their topic. The research paper was hard. I had Jim Crow Laws and there was not a lot of databases. The Gallery Walk was almost easy. I say that because I don't talk good in groups or crowds. I'm shy, depending on where I'm at. I'm definitely not shy at a basketball game. The Gallery Walk helped me with my social skills. I did enjoy the Gallery Walk. I liked Amanda Smith's presentation of Amelia Earhart. I could tell she worked hard on it.

The process of writing the research paper and creating the gallery walk was, overall, fairly easy. I learned lots of new things from this project . Who would have thought that Franklin Delano Roosevelt married his fifth cousin? This gallery walk was enjoyable; I learned so much about various figures in history. I guess the reason I liked the gallery walk is because I like to learn about everything. Well, most everything. The best presentation, in my opinion, was Monty's. The visualization that was she had with her project was impressive.

The whole entire project process to me was pretty simple at some points like typing the final copy but hard at other times like creating the rough draft. I learned about the MLA format of a research paper and how to "cut and paste" facts into the rough draft. I really enjoyed the Gallery Walk because instead of sitting down listening to a boring lecture, you get to move around and interact with the presentors. I think I liked Monterese Hayton's presentation the best because it was very original and creative with her making a manequin of Eleanor Roosevelt.

To me the hardest part of the assignment was the research paper. Most of the cites didn't fit the criteria and some of them weren't credible. For the gallery walk once you had done the report it was pretty easy to make the poster. i learned a bunch about the stock market and MLA format. In the end i think the gallery walk project was the esiest.

I think that writing my research my paper was the hardest part because we could only use the SL databases. Once i got done with it, it made it earlier to do my project for the gallery walk. I enjoyed this activity and presenting it in the library made me remember the facts better

Thank you for taking your time to type a research paper to show us how it was done. It helped a lot

THIS PROJECT WASN'T THE EASIEST. EXPECIALLY(?) IF YOU HAD A TOPIC THAT THE DATABASES DIDN'T HAVE A LOT OF INFORMATION ON. LIKE MINE.THE HARDEST PART WAS FINDING INFORMATION THAT I COULD ACTUALLY TRUST.THE EASIEST PART AND THE PART I ENJOYED THE MOST WAS TURNING THE PAPER IN.HAHA. BECAUSE THEN I DIDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT ANYMORE. I LEARNED A LOT OF THINGS THAT I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT MY TOPIC. LIKE THERE WEREN'T SEGREATION LAWS BEFORE JIM CROW LAWS. FLORDIA WAS THE FIRST STATE TO HAVE A JIM CROW LAW BUT THE LAST TO BECOME FULLY SEGREATED. IRONIC HUH? JIM CROW IS ACTUALLY A SONG THAT WAS PERFORMED BY THOMAS D. RICE TO MAKE FUN OF AN OLD CRIPPLED BLACK MAN. IN THE PROCESS OF WRITING MY PAPER I LEARNED HOW TO CITE DIFFERENT WORKS. IN PRESENTING I LEARNED THAT I COULDN'T TALK THAT FAST BECAUSE THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND ME. I LIKED PRESENTING TO OTHERS BECAUSE IT MADE ME HAPPY. I AM NOT SO SURE AS TO WHY IT MAKES ME HAPPY IT JUST DOES. LEAVE IT UP TO STARR. HAHA. IT COULD HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT I LIKE TO TALK BUT I DON'T KNOW. I THOUGHT ALL THE PROJECTS WERE INTERESTING BECAUSE THEY WERE ALL DIFFERENT EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE ON THE SAME TOPICS. SO GREAT JOB EVERYONE.

Recently in Mrs. McIntyre's 1st period class we did a research paper. My topic was on the Dust Bowl and I know a lot about it now. There are many steps in a research paper so you go over the material many times. First, we went to the library and gathered our three soucres then we took noted on these sources. After this we had to cut and paste our notes into our rough draft. The rough draft was a very good idea because it got me prepared to type the real thing. When we finished indivudialy typeig our papers, my group got together and began our project. Together we worked together to make a replica of a house during the Dust Bowl. After we finished our project we had to go to the library to present it. The presentation was the part inwhich i learned the most. I had to convey a large amount of information about the Dust Bowl to people who didn't know anything about it. telling people about the Dust Bowlreally made me remember the information and even now I could tell you anything you want to know about the Dust Bowl. My favorite presentation was Travis Daniel's group, I thought their presentation was very orginal and they did something no-one else did. Their group made a power point presentation and I really enjoyed it.
