Courage - Atticus Finch Style

Throughout the novel To Kill A Mockingbird, the adults teach the children many lessons about life, humanity, and how to treat and understand others. According to Atticus regarding Mrs. Dubose to Jem, "...I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It's when you know you're licked before you begin but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what."

Interpret this quote in your own words. Agree or disagree with it and tell us why. Use examples from the novel or real life. Don't use other peoples names and be appropriate in your response at all times. When you are finished with your comment, sign your full name. Then go ahead and post your reply. You won't see your post until I approve it.
